  • Praying for Renewing the Mind

    Glorious Father, thank You for Your grace which enables me to receive Christ Jesus as my Lord and Savior.  With Your help, I will continue to live in Him (Colossians 2:6).  Please fulfill my desire to be rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith as I have been taught, overflowing with thanksgiving (Colossians 2:7).  Thank You for strengthening me with all might according to Your glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness (Colossians 1:11).

    Let us renew our thinking, so we see the world the way God sees it.

    Father God, Your Word shows me that to be spiritually minded gives me life and peace (Romans 8:6).  I want to have my mind renewed, and I thank You that You promised to keep me in perfect peace as I keep my mind focused on You (Isaiah 26:3).  I choose not to be conformed to this world any longer, but to be transformed by the renewal of my mind.  So, I will be able to walk in Your good, acceptable, and perfect Will (Romans 12:2). Therefore, I pray, teach me to demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God; and to take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ Jesus, the Messiah, the Anointed One (2 Corinthians 10:5).

    Lord God, You taught me to put off my old self, which is easily corrupted by deceitful desires, and to be made new in the attitude of my mind – to put on the new self, created to be like Jesus in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:22-24). I want my attitude to be the same as that of Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5).  I understand that I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless, I live; yet it is not I, but Christ who lives in me, and the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself up for me (Galatians 2:20). 

    Therefore, I have in me the mind of Christ, the Messiah (1 Corinthians 2:16), and I will hold the thoughts, feelings, and purposes of His heart (Philippians 2:5). I vow to trust in You, Lord, with all my heart; I will not lean on my own understanding, but in all my ways, I will acknowledge You, and You will direct my paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).  Today I submit myself to Your Word, which exposes and sifts and analyzes and judges the very thoughts and purposes of my heart (Hebrews 4:12). 

    And I am being sanctified and cleansed by washing in the water of Your Word, O Lord (Ephesians 5:26).  The unfolding of Your words, O God, gives me light (Psalm 119:130).  Your Word is true (John 17:17).  As I receive the truth of Your Word, it sets me free from a worldly mindset (John 8:32).  Thank You, Father, for renewing my mind.

  • Praying for Greater Faith

    Your Word, Lord God, renews my mind so I am able to prove what Your Will is in my life – Your good, acceptable, and perfect Will (Romans 12:2).  Your wonderful Word also imparts faith to my heart (Romans 10:17).  I will meditate upon the principles of Your Word, for then my faith will grow, and I will be blessed (Psalm 1:2).

    O that we would display strong faith in our God, the King of all glory.

    I know it is impossible to please You without faith, so I come to You fully believing in You and knowing You will reward me for diligently seeking You (Hebrews 11:6).  Thank You for enabling me to have faith in You and Your Word.  The faith You have imparted to me is the substance of things I hope for and the evidence of things I do not yet see (Hebrews 11:1).  I realize the things visible are temporary and subject to change, but things unseen with the human eye are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).

    Through faith I am able to understand so many things, including the concept that the very worlds of the universe were framed by Your Word.  This helps me understand that things seen were not made of things I can perceive.  Instead, they were made by Your unseen hand, O Lord (Hebrews 11:3).  Therefore, I choose to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Through faith, You enable me to subdue kingdoms, work the works of righteousness, obtain all Your promises, and even stop the mouths of lions (Hebrews 11:33).  Through faith I shall be able to turn my weaknesses into strengths, become valiant in all struggles, and turn my enemies away (Hebrews 11:34).  Thank You, gracious Father, for increasing my faith through Your Word.

    Great is Your faithfulness, O God (1 Corinthians 10:13), and I draw near to You now with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having my heart sprinkled and purified from an evil consciousness by the blood of Christ Jesus.  It is this truth that enables me to hold fast the profession of my faith without wavering, knowing You are always faithful to Your promises (Hebrews 10:22-23). 

    I desire to always be faithful in every area of my life because a faithful man shall abound with blessings (Proverbs 28:20).  I yield myself to the work and power of Your Holy Spirit, who enables me to walk in faithfulness (Galatians 5:22-23). I praise You because I believe You are producing the fruit of faithfulness in my life, for I know this is Your Will for me.  Thank You for teaching me to be faithful, to be more like Jesus every day (Revelation 1:5).

    O Faithful Father, I know You are always there for me.  Not one word of all Your good promises has ever failed (1 Kings 8:56), and I know You will never leave me nor forsake me (Hebrews 13:5).  I rejoice in the certain knowledge, Father, that You are my very present help in all my times of need (Psalm 46:1).  Even when I am lacking in faith, Father, You are always faithful to me (2 Timothy 2:13).  I know You know me because I am Yours (2 Timothy 2:19).  How I thank You that I am Your servant, and You always deal well with me. 

    Thank You, loving Father, for always being faithful to Your Word (Psalm 119:65).  It gives me great confidence to realize Your Word will never return to You empty, but it will always accomplish what You desire, and will achieve the purposes You have in mind (Isaiah 55:11).  You always have, and I know You always will, faithfully accomplish Your purposes in my life (1 Thessalonians 5:24).  I know You will keep me, Father (Genesis 28:15).  Your Word never fails (Joshua 23:14).  Thank You so very much for loving me (1 John 4:19). 

  • Praying to Know God Better

    Lord God, I serve You with gladness, and I come into Your presence with singing.  I know You are my God; it is You who made me and not I myself (Psalm 100:2-3).  I am Your child (1 John 3:1), and I am a sheep in Your pasture.  I enter Your gates with thanksgiving and go into Your courts with praise (Psalm 100:3-4).  I am so thankful to You and I bless Your name, because You are good, and Your mercy is everlasting.  Father, I thank You that Your truth endures to all generations (Psalm 100:5).

    Let us draw near to God, to behold be beauty of His wonders.

    I want to know You better (Colossians 1:10), dearest Father, and therefore I will call upon You, knowing You will harken unto me.  And I will seek You, knowing I will find You, for I will seek You with all my heart (Jeremiah 29:12-13).  As I pursue knowing You better, O God Father, I will draw near to You and I know You will draw near to me (James 4:8).

    Thank You, Father, for enabling me to understand the reverential fear of You, and for helping me to know You, for You have given me wisdom, and from Your mouth I receive knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:1-6).

    Heavenly Father, thank You for loving the world so much that You gave Your only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).  Truly, there is no greater love than Yours, Lord God (John 15:13).  Thank You for sending Jesus to redeem the world. And I thank You for saving me.  Above all else, Lord, I desire to know Your love which passes all knowledge, and to be filled with all Your fullness (Ephesians 3:19).

    Teach me, Father, to always remember I am able to love only because You first loved me (1 John 4:19).  Because You love me, You have given me commandments to follow; and because I love You, I want to obey You always (John 14:15).  Because You have saved me and made me a new creation in Christ Jesus, I can love others as You have loved me.  Through this means, Lord, I know that others will realize I am a disciple of Christ Jesus (John 13:34-35).  Thank You for Your perfect love which casts out all fear from my life (1 John 4:18).  Your amazing love shows me how to love sincerely, without hypocrisy (Romans 12:9). 

    It’s a wonderful realization to know there is no fear in Your love.  In fact, I rejoice in the certainty that Your perfect love casts out all fear from my life (1 John 4:18).  Thank You for delivering me from the torments of fear; You have not given me a spirit of fear; for You have given me a spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).  Fill me with Your love now as I receive it by faith in Your promise (Mark 11:24).

    I rejoice and truly thank You that there is no limit to Your love, Lord.  It is from everlasting to everlasting.  You have poured Your love abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit Who has been given to me (Romans 5:5).  Strengthen me with might by the Holy Spirit so I will be able to comprehend with all the saints the full extent of Your love (Ephesians 3:18).  Your Son, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, dwells in my heart by faith, and I thank You that You are rooting and grounding me in His love (Ephesians 3:17) so I may pass His love on to others I meet. 

  • God’s First Promise

    The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon (Psalm 92:12). God wants you to grow in Him. 

    God takes it upon Himself to see that we grow. Trust Him to do this.

    The end result of learning, meditating, believing, receiving, and praying is declared in Ephesians:

    Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning of craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is Christ Jesus (Ephesians 4:14-15). 

    God promises to help you grow if you accept His promises and live in accord with them.

    His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires (2 Peter 1:3-4).  

    Praises be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).  No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him — but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit, the Spirit that searches all things even the deep things of God (1 Corinthians 2:9-10).  

    This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will [His promises], He hears us. And if we know that He hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of Him (1 John 5:14-15).  For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so, through Him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God. Now it is God who makes [us all] stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come (2 Corinthians 1:20-22).    

    Do not let this book of the Law depart from our mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful (Joshua 1:8). All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).  Every word of God is flawless (Proverbs 30:5).  God Himself said: So is My word that goes out from My mouth: it will not return to Me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

    Praise be to the Lord… Not one word has failed of all the good promises He gave through His servant Moses (1 Kings 8:56).  Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away (Matthew 24:35).  Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens (Psalm 119:89).  The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of our God stand forever (Isaiah 40:8).

    God promises you that you will grow strong in His Word, and He wants you to know the truth from His Word. So let us live in accord with His word and His truth.

    God, Father, grant me the grace to be available to others today for Your sake.

  • Prayer of Dedication to His Word

    If I speak, I want only to speak the very words of God (1 Peter 4:11). The plans of the mind and orderly thinking belong to man, but from You, Lord, comes the wise answer of the tongue (Proverbs 16:1). Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit (Proverbs 18:21). I love speaking God’s Word and so I will bear much fruit.

    Let us keep the Word of God as our daily sustenance.

    Thank You for Your Word which imparts faith to my heart (Romans 10:17).  As I believe Your Word, You fill me with all joy and peace, and I will abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).  Therefore, I desire to not let Your Word depart from my mouth as I meditate upon its truths day and night.  Almighty God, I know You are capable, and so I pray to You for this. And I vow to walk in Your Word daily, because then I know You will fulfill Your promise to make my way prosperous, and to fill my life with good success (Joshua 1:8). 

    I delight myself in You and Your Word.  Because of that, You put Your desires within my heart.  I commit my way unto You, and You bring it to pass (Psalm 37:4-5).  I am confident that You are at work in me now, both to will and to do all Your good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).

    I will keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking lies (Psalm 34:13). I will watch my ways and keep my tongue from sin. I will put a muzzle over my mouth as long as the wicked are before me (Psalm 39:1), because whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from trouble (Proverbs 21:23). He who guards his lips guards his life (Proverbs 13:3). Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent; and discerning if he holds his tongue (Proverbs 17:28), but the tongue of the wise brings healing (Proverbs 12:18).

    When I speak Your Word aloud, I speak forth life into my own heart and the hearts of others.  As I continue to hold forth Your Word, Lord, teach me to rejoice as in the day of Christ, knowing my labor for You is never in vain, Father (Philippians 2:16).  Teach me to always be a doer of Your Word, not only a hearer (James 1:22).  By keeping Your Word, I realize Your love is made perfect in me.  Please give me Your grace, Lord, to be both a doer and a keeper of Your Word. 

    I am a wise child, and I will heed my Father’s instructions (Proverbs 13:1). I no longer conform to the pattern of this world. I am transformed by the renewing of my mind through God’s Word (Romans 12:2). God my Father revives me according to His Word (Psalm 119:25). I truly do not want to let the Word depart from before my eyes, Father, so I pray to You to help me keep it within my heart. For it is life to me; I have found it and it is health and healing to all my flesh and bones (Proverbs 4:21-22).

  • A Prayer for Confidence

    It is my heart’s desire to trust in You always and to do good.  I will delight myself in You, O Lord, and I trust You will give me the desires of my heart. As I commit my life to You, Lord, and trust in You, You will fulfill Your promises to me.  You will bring forth my righteousness as the light, and Your judgment as the noonday sun.  Knowing these truths enables me to rest securely in You (Psalm 37:3-7).

    Confidence in God: His love surrounds us, and we have all we need.

    I will not fear, for You are with me; I will not be dismayed, for You are my God.  You strengthen me and help me; You will uphold me with Your righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). I will not let my heart be troubled.  I trust in You, God, I trust also in Your Son (John 14:1). Because my heart is fixed on You, trusting in You, I will not be afraid (Psalm 112:7).

    Help me to trust You more and more because I know this is the key to security in my life.  Your Word promises that the man is blessed who trusts in You, Lord, whose confidence is in You. Then I will be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out roots by the river. I will not fear when heat comes and will never fail to bear fruit (Jeremiah 17:7-8). 

    This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is you salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength” (Isaiah 30:15). Father, this knowledge brings a feeling of great security to my soul.  Thank You for Your Promise that Your unfailing love will surround me as I trust in You (Psalm 32:10).  Thank You for promising to direct my paths when I trust You with all my heart and not lean on my own understanding of things (Proverbs 3:5-6). 

    Grant that I would never place my trust in uncertain riches or any other thing except You, my loving Lord and God, who richly gives me all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17).

    I place my trust in You, O Lord, in You alone; because I realize I am not sufficient of myself in anything.  All my sufficiency and security are from You, dearest Father (2 Corinthians 3:5).  You are my confidence, and I know You will always keep my feet from being snared (Proverbs 3:26).  Thank You, Lord God, that through faith in Christ Jesus I have boldness and access to You with confidence (Ephesians 3:12).  Therefore, I cast all my worries upon You, trusting that You care for me (1 Peter 5:7).

    Though a host encamp against me, my heart will not fear; though war arise against me, in spite of this I shall be confident… I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. I will wait for the Lord; I will be strong and let my heart take courage; yes, I will wait for the Lord (Psalm 27:3, 13-14).

    For You have been my hope, O Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth (Psalm 71:5). In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children will have refuge (Proverbs 14:26). The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever (Isaiah 32:17).

    It is Christ Jesus my Lord, in whom I have boldness and confident access to the Father through faith in Him (Ephesians 3:12). For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in me will perfect it unto the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). Christ was faithful as a Son over His house – whose house I am, if I hold fast my confidence and the boast of my hope firm until the end (Hebrews 3:6). We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. (Hebrews 3:14).

    Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Since therefore brothers, we have confidence to enter the Holy Place by the blood of Jesus… let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:19-23).

    We can confidently say, “The Lord is my Helper, I will not be afraid; what shall man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6). Beloved if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God (1 John 3:21). By this, love is perfected within us, that we may have confidence in the day of judgement; because as He is, so also are we in this world. (1 John 4:17). And now, let us abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming. (1 John 2:2). And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14). And so we pray to Him.

  • A Prayer To Trust

    The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.  My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song (Psalm 28:7). I will offer right sacrifices and trust in the Lord (Psalm 4:5)

    The Lord God is worthy of our trust. He will direct us through our trials.

    Those who know Your name will trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You (Psalm 9:10). Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God (Psalm 20:7).

    “Call upon Me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you, and you will honor Me.” (Psalm 50:15). Deliver us from the evil one (Matthew 6:13).

    To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in You I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemy [the devil] triumph over me (Psalm 25:1-2). I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.”  My times are in Your hands; deliver me from my enemy and from those who pursue me (Psalm 31:14-15).

    You, O God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of corruption; bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live out half their days.  But as for me, I trust in You (Psalm 55:23).

    I trust in the Lord.  I will be glad and rejoice in Your love for You saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.  You have not handed me over to the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place (Psalm 31:6-8). In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid.  What can mortal man do to me? (Psalm 56:4)

    Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You.  Show me the way I should go, for to You I lift up my soul.  Rescue me from my enemies, O Lord, for I hide myself in You.  Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your good Spirit lead me on level ground (Psalm 143:8-10).

    He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust” (Psalm 91:1-2). Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever (Psalm 125:1).

    Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.  The Lord, the Lord God, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation (Isaiah 12:2).  I will wait for the Lord. I will put my trust in Him (Isaiah 8:17). Trust in the Lord forever for the Lord, the Lord God is the Rock eternal (Isaiah 26:4).

    Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of His servant? Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God (Isaiah 50:10). The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble.  He cares for those who trust in Him (Nahum 1:7).

    Put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light (John 12:36). May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).

  • A Personal Prayer of Thanks

    We have been urged, above all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone (1 Timothy 2:1) and everything.

    Thanks be to God that, though I used to be a slave to sin, I wholeheartedly obey the form of teaching to which I was entrusted (Romans 6:17).  So I can say: Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57).  Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him (2 Corinthians 2:14). 

    Thanksgiving will be in my mouth (Ephesians 5:4).  I will sing and make music in my heart to the Lord, and I will always give thanks to God, the Father, for everything in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:19-20). 

    I will not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with much thanksgiving, I present my requests and petitions to God (Philippians 4:6), joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified me to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light (Colossians 1:12). 

    So then, just as I received Christ Jesus as my Lord, I will continue to live in Him, being rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as I was taught, and overflowing with thankfulness (Colossians 2:6-7).  I will let the peace of Christ rule in my heart, since, as a member of His body, I was called to peace.  And I am ever thankful (Colossians 3:15).

    Whatever I do, whether in word or deed, I will do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, constantly giving thanks to God the Father through Him (Colossians 3:17).  I will devote myself to prayer, and I will remain watchful and thankful (Colossians 4:2). 

    I will be joyful always; I will pray continually; and I will give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for me in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).  How can I thank God, my loving Father, enough for the blessings He has given me in return for all the joy I have because of them? (1 Thessalonians 3:9)  For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving (1 Timothy 4:4). 

    Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, (Hebrews 12:28).  We give thanks to You, O Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because soon You will have taken Your great power and will have begun to reign (Revelation 11:17). 

  • Hallowed Be Thy Name

    Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be Thy name (Matthew 6:9).  Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name (Psalm 103:1).

    I bless Your name, El-Elyon, the Most High God Who is the First Cause of everything, the Possessor of all the heavens, the earth, and all things in them.  You are the everlasting God, the great God, the living God, the merciful God.  The Faithful God, the mighty God, the gracious God.  You are truth, justice, righteousness, and perfection.  You are El-Elyon – the highest Sovereign of the heavens and the earth.  Hallowed be thy name!

    I bless Your name, Elohim, Creator of heaven and earth (Genesis 1:1), who was in the beginning.  It is You Who made me (Job 33:4) and You have crowned me with glory and honor (Psalm 8:5).  Hallowed be thy name!

    I bless Your name, El-Shaddai (Genesis 15:1), God Almighty, the God of all blessings, who nourishes and supplies.  You are all-bountiful and all-sufficient.  Hallowed be thy name!

    I bless Your name, Adonai, my Lord and my Master.  You are Jehovah – the completely self-existing One, always present, revealed in Jesus, who is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Hallowed be thy name!

    I bless Your name, Jehovah-Jireh, the One Who sees my needs and provides for them.  Hallowed be thy name!

    I bless Your name, Jehovah-Rapha, my Healer and the One Who makes bitter experiences sweet (Exodus 15:26).  You sent Your Word and healed me (Psalm 107:20).  You forgave all my iniquities, and You healed all my diseases (Psalm 103:3).  Hallowed be thy name!

    I bless Your name, Jehovah-M’Kaddesh, the Lord my Sanctifier (Leviticus 20:8).  You have set me apart for Yourself (Psalm 4:3).   Hallowed be thy name!

    I bless Your name, Jehovah-Nissi, my victory, my banner, my standard (Exodus 17:15).  Your banner over me is love (Songs 2:4).  When the enemy shall come in like a flood, You will lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19).  Hallowed be thy name!

    I bless Your name, Jehovah-Shalom, my peace (Judges 6:24) – the peace which transcends all understanding, which garrisons and mounts guards over my heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).  Hallowed be thy name!

    I bless Your name, Jehovah-Tsidkenu, my righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6).  I thank You for becoming sin for me that I might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21).  Hallowed be thy name!

    I bless Your name, Jehovah-Rohi, my shepherd.  I shall not want for any good or beneficial thing (Psalm 23:1).  Hallowed be thy name!

    I bless Your name, Jehovah-Shammah (Ezekiel 48:35), my companion who never leaves me nor forsakes me (Hebrews 13:5).  You are always there.  I take comfort and am encouraged and confidently and boldly say, the Lord is my Helper, so I will not be seized with alarm; I will not fear or dread or be terrified (Hebrews 13:6).  Hallowed be thy name!

    My Father God, You have exalted above all else Your name and Your Word, and You have magnified Your Word above all Your name (Psalm 138:2).  The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and His name was Jesus – Jehovah Saves (John 1:14).  Hallowed be thy name!

  • A Prayer for Unity in the Church

    How good and pleasant it is when brothers can live together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)

    May we all grow to be of one mind and Spirit for the sake of our Lord.

    My prayer, Abba Father, gracious God of the Cosmos, is that we may be one, united on earth now as we will be when we are all together around Your glorious throne in heaven. I pray for unity among all those who call upon Your name and share Your Spirit, so the world may know there is a solution to conflict, strife, and division. Through Jesus, my Savior, I pray.

    Jesus is not in the world any longer, but we are in the world. Holy Father, keep us safe by the power of Your name, the name that You gave Jesus, so that our unity may be like the unity between Jesus and You… I pray that all people accepting Jesus’ message continue to have unity in the way that You, Father, have with us. I pray that we may all be unified with You and Your Son, so that the world will believe that You have sent Jesus to show Your love. Jesus has given us glory so that we are united in the same way You are: You in Jesus and Jesus in us. As we are completely united, the world will know that You have sent Jesus to us and that You love us in the same way You love Him. (John 17:11, 20-23)

    May our love for You and for one another increase and overflow!

    The foreigner will join them and be united with the house of Jacob (Isaiah 14:1). Anyone joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17).

    Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all say the same thing, that there be no divisions among you, and that you be united with the same understanding and the same conviction (1 Corinthians 1:10). Above all, put on love – the perfect bond of unity (Colossians 3:14). I want [your] hearts to be encouraged and joined together in love (Colossians 2:2).

    If then there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by thinking the same way, having the same love, sharing the same feelings, focusing on one goal. Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves (Philippians 2:1-3).

    I, therefore, a prisoner in the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, accepting one another in love, diligently keeping the unity of the Spirit with the peace that binds us (Ephesians 4:1-3). And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son (Ephesians 4:11-13).

    For if we have been joined with Him in the likeness of His death, we will certainly also be in the likeness of His resurrection (Romans 6:5). Now may the God of endurance and encouragement grant you agreement with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with a united mind and voice (Romans 15:5-6).
