Father, You are Spirit (John 4:24) and You give Your Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 4:8) without limit (John 3:34); the Spirit whom those who believed in Jesus were to receive once Jesus had been glorified (John 7:39). Your Word tells me the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message (Acts 10:44); the Counselor whom Jesus promised to send from You, Father; the Spirit of Truth who goes out from You (John 15:26) to all who believe.

Peter said, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). The promise is for me and my children and for all who are far off – for all whom You, O Lord our God, will call (Acts 2:39).
In the last days, You said You would pour out Your Spirit on all people (Acts 2:17); the Holy Spirit whom You have given to those who obey You (Acts 5:32). We must receive Your Spirit so that we will understand what You have freely given us (1 Corinthians 2:12).
Jesus redeemed us so that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit (Galatians 3:14). We were included in Christ when we heard the word of truth, the gospel of salvation. Having believed we were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance (Ephesians 1:13-14).
Because we are Your children, You sent the Spirit of Your Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father” (Galatians 4:6) and Your Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are indeed Your children (Romans 8:16). We are Your temple, and Your Spirit lives in us (1 Corinthians 3:16). I know that I live in You and You live in me (1 John 4:13). This is how I know that You live in me; by the Spirit that You gave me (1 John 3:24). I will guard the good deposit that was entrusted to me – with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in me (2 Timothy 1:14).
Because of all this, I boldly say: My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in me, whom I have received from You, my gracious Father (1 Corinthians 6:19). You set Your seal of ownership on me and put Your Spirit in my heart (2 Corinthians 1:22). You made me for this very purpose and have given me the Spirit as a deposit, a guarantee of what is to come (2 Corinthians 5:5). God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us (Romans 5:5).
Now, Father, I ask that I may be filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 9:17), to come to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19). Thank You for Your promise to give the Holy Spirit to all who ask You (Luke 11:13). So, I ask! Heavenly Father, I desire to be filled with Your Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). You promised I would receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on me (Acts 1:8). I desire this in the name of Jesus. I confess I am a Spirit-Filled Christian.
