Let Your Faith Grow

Accept and celebrate two awesome truths derived from these passages: (1) God wields incomparably great power for the those who choose to believe. Read it again! Incomparably great power! More than enough to break the yoke of any bondage or stronghold. Our belief unclogs the pipe and invites the power to flow from Him to our world. (2) God applies the same power to our needs that He exerted when He raised Christ Jesus from the dead. Does your stronghold require more power than it takes to raise the dead? Neither does mine. God can do it, fellow believer. I know because He says so. And I know because He has done it for me. Believe Him… And when you don’t, then cry out earnestly, “Lord God, Help me overcome my unbelief!”

God’s Power is awesome

Sovereign Lord, Your Word says You esteem the person who is humble and contrite in spirit, and who trembles at Your Word (Isaiah 66:2). I can hardly imagine being someone You esteem, but I sincerely want to be. Please make me that kind of person through the power of Your Holy Spirit, gracious Father.

Lord God, Your Word says You bestow favor and honor on those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). I can’t claim a blameless walk, but I ask You first for Your mercies, and then for Your grace to empower me to walk with You faithfully, and to never cease pursuing that blameless walk.

You have shown me, O Lord, what is good. And what do You, O Lord, require of me but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You, my God (Micah 6:8).

O dear Lord Jesus, I want to be like the one to whom You said, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” (Matthew 15:28) Please flourish this kind of faith in me, my dearest Lord.

O Lord Jesus, I want You to be able to say to me, “I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first.” (Revelation 2:19) O please, my loving Lord, cause these words to be true in my life.

I earnestly pray that I walk worthy of You, my Lord God, fully pleasing You and desiring to please You in all things, and being fruitful in every good work. I ask to be ever increasing in the knowledge of You, my God. And so I pray that I am being strengthened with all power according to Your glorious might (Colossians 1:10-11).

May my Lord, Jesus Christ Himself, and God, my Father — who loves us and by His grace gives eternal encouragement and good hope — encourage my heart and strengthen me in every good deed and word (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17).

I know that You are the Lord God, the Almighty God, that those who hope in You will not be disappointed (Isaiah 49:23).
